The Vidyalaya had its humble origin in an old bungalow on a little hill with natural beauty around in the year 1986,with 150 students and 12 staff. Presently. It has 825 students and 39 staff on roll and is running classes in a huge 3 crore building with all modern facilities of a model school.
An efficient and dedicated team of office bearers helps the school to function smoothly. With the latest equipment. i.e. Photo-copier, Computer with Internet facilities and Laser printer.

KVS has a four fold mission viz:-
To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government
employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education.
To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT, etc.
To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianans’” among children.
